Objectives

The main objective of this course unit is to explore the creative and conceptual potential of the integration of Biomimicry, Digital Morphogenesis, Digital Prototyping and Parametric Design in the Project.

And it has as secondary objectives:

• make known the different digital prototyping processes, the associated materialities and their physical characteristics and aesthetic and conceptual potential applied to product design;

• to integrate Biomimicry as an inspiring element at a conceptual level and as a repository of design solutions;

• to enhance and develop the ability to deconstruct and abstract nature geometrically;

• introduce and encourage the integration of Parametric Design in the generative processes (Digital Morphogenesis) of complex surfaces to be prototyped;

• transport traditional knowledge to the digital universe in order to promote innovation and added value
