EX04 Morphogenesis: Corals

NOTES:

  1. For this exercise, you need to install the PanelingTools plugin;

    1. install it using the ‘Package Manager’ command (in Rhino);

  • Draw two circles with the same center, where one circle has a radius of 2 units and the other has a radius of 4 units;

  • Copy both circles 12 units to the right;

  • In each of the two sets of circles, draw a vertical line to the work plane with 6 units;

  • Draw an arc to join the upper ends of the vertical lines;

  • Join the two vertical segments to the previous arc;

  • Draw four spirals around the axis (previous figure) starting from the left and right quadrants of each circle, making one turn;

  • Generate two surfaces, one interior and one exterior, based on the guidelines defined by the spirals and the generatrices defined by the circles;

  • Draw a pattern A, B, and C and apply them to the geometry.
