"Three-dimensional reconstruction within the Cripto-History of Architecture" (SFRH/BD/144363/2019)

Goal:
Applied to architecture, we propose a methodology that explores the crypto-historical process in identifying the design criteria of disappeared historical works, using representation and three-dimensional modeling tools.

Finally, we intend to construct a methodological itinerary of historical and cultural (re)interpretation. We aim to identify the stylistic conceptions meaning, in an updated and intelligible way. Furthermore, we aim to contribute to an integrated valorization of the current architectural heritage.

• Contribute to a typological study of aspects of urban space during the night time, namely with the analysis of the use changes and the identification of the productive activities at night in the city, within the project "Architecture After Hours"​

• Draw up a working inventory of existing religious and military architecture in the Arrábida seafront and Algarve's eastern coast, in order to understand the network structure of its coastal territory, to integrate in the book "Practice Guide for a Sea Architecture", within the project "Sea Architectures"​

• Develop a preliminary study on the history of monastic tradition for a practice of self-sufficient design, according to the Order of Saint Bruno (Belém Nuns congregation), within the 2nd task of the research project "Self-Sufficient Architectures (sustainable Monastery project)"

• Draw up a survey work of architectural characteristics in field missions to the different case studies located on the waterfront, with the completion of survey tables and conducting population surveys in the context of the research project "Sea Architectures"
